Our school tour to Mysore.
We started our school tour on 20th of August 2012. Our train was at 9:30 pm at Chennai central railway station. We were 47 of them and 6 teachers. All the students were present. The journey in Train was one of the memorable one, becauzzz........
- most our friends had had gone for sleep, n were chit chatting.
- the climate was very cool when we reached Karnataka border.
As soon as we exit the bus was ready .We all took our seats. And our sir counted whether all the students are there or not. We went to the hotel 'vizac int'. The rooms were allotted for us. We went to our respective rooms with our frienz. We were asked to cme after 1 hour.We had our bath in our rooms, changed our dress,etc..
All our frienz came down with hungry. We had a great breakfast ."a thanks to that hotel for that delicious food".

Then we started. Most of our frienz(including us)were with cooling glassesssssssss......... Our first place to visit was Mysore's Maharajah Palace. It was "awesome" . The interior structure was "great". We were not allowed to take snap shots. We took photos out side the palace. We also took 'instant photo' of group photo in which all of us were there. Then we went to zoo.
It was not like a ordinary zoo,it was very big with almost all the creatures.

Then we started to the famous place at Mysore "The Brindhavan Gardens".It is greenery, watery and the beautiful.Brindavan Gardens lies adjoining the Krishnarajasagara dam (KRS Dam) which is built across the river Cauvery A dam at the length of 8600 ft. and height of 130 ft. above the river bed was built below the confluence of the three rivers – Cauvery, Hemavathi and Lakshmanateertha in 1924. The place was formerly called as Kannambadi after the Kanveshvara temple in the village submerged in the reservoir. Next we came back to our hotel. We took rest. After 1/2 an hour we had our Dinner. After having our dinner we came to our respective rooms for sleeping. All of us had a super sleep. The next morning most of us woke up at 6:00 am. All of us had brushed our teeth n had a bath.We were said to come down to have the breakfast at 7:30 am. Before going down we had tea. The climate was Cool the tea was Hot, it the was very tempting. Then we went to have the breakfast.
After having the breakfast we started to "Chamundeshwari temple".
Temple-A building dedicated to religious ceremonies or worship. It was a very powerful temple. The temple
was named after Chamundeshwari or Durga, the fierce form
of Shakti,
a tutelary deity held in reverence for
centuries by Mysore Maharajas. The original shrine is thought to have been
built in the 12th century by Hoysala rulers while its tower was probably built by
the Vijayanagar rulers of the 17th century. In
1659, a flight of one thousand steps was built leading up to the 3000 foot
summit of the hill. The temple has a seven story tall Gopura decorated
with intricate carvings. The deity of the goddess is said to be made of gold
and the temple doors of silver.

Next we traveled to "Srirangapattanam".The main lord was "Lord Vishnu".Srirangapattanam one of the most important Vaishnavite centers of pilgrimage in south India. The temple was built by the Ganga dynasty rulers of the area in the 9th century; the structure was strengthened and improved upon architecturally some three centuries later. Thus, the temple is a medley of the Hoysala and Vijayanagar styles of temple architecture
Somanathapura is famous for the Chennakesava Temple (also called Keshava or Keshava temple) built by Soma, Adandanayaka (commander) in 1268 CE under Hoysala king Narasimha, when the Hoysalas were the major power in South India. The Keshava temple is one of the finest examples of Hoysala architecture and is in a very well preserved condition. The temple is in the care of the Archaeological Survey of India as a protected heritage site and visitors are allowed only from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
The main happiness to say was the journey in the bus was excellent, becauzzz all the students danced, sung songs, etc. Our sir Pradeep was the main choreographer for our enjoyment in all the places also in the bus. Our teachers made us to use our senseless senseful sense to work n how to have a behavior in place.
The "Mysore Zoo" (officially named as The Shri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens) traces its origins back to 1892 under the erstwhile rulers of Mysore, the famed Wodeyars. The Mysore Zoo attracts about 3 Million visitors a year and its popularity keeps growing every day. The Mysore Zoo is perhaps one of the most famous Zoological gardens in Asia with a varied collection of birds, mammals and reptile species. Besides the zoological gardens, the staff also has developed the adjoining Karanji Lake and maintains it for the pleasure of visitors. A number of species of migratory birds, a delightful butterfly park, jogging trails and recreational boating rides greet visitors.
